Things I make when I’m not at a keyboard or a bench

Outside the lab and the terminal, I spend time with clay and a camera. A small selection of work follows. All photographs are mine; ceramics are made and fired by me unless noted.

I’m interested in the same thing across both media: surfaces that record process. With clay, that’s tool marks, finger pulls, the way a glaze breaks over an edge. With photography, it’s light catching texture — frost, fabric, weathered timber.

Both also reward patience in a way the rest of my work doesn’t.
